Colbert on NPR, MSNBC

Stephen Colbert recently appeared on Fresh Air (where Terry Gross intimated he would be unable to run because he smoked dope as a teenager), Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me! (where he won Carl Kasell’s voice on a listener’s home answering machine) and Meet the Press (where he explained the pronunciation of his name, sort of). Though he broke character on the two NPR shows, Colbert retained his mock seriousness when facing Tim Russert on Sunday. Didn’t quite work without an appreciative audience laughing on cue.
