Regress report

After a lazy weekend of coding I am officially debuting my new site design: Apartment 0.1. It should be relatively friendly to different text sizes (for those of you with early-onset vision problems), although I haven’t tested it in anything except Safari and Firefox. I decided to mix it up with some seriffed typefaces (Hoefler Text if you’re on a Mac, plain ol’ Georgia otherwise) in addition to my usual sans-serifs (Lucida Grande or Verdana). I also toned down the red from garish to maroon (or brick, maybe) and added washed out blues and greens as accent colors (although as is my wont, most of the site is monochrome). Digressions now have their own place on the main page, as I intend for them to become more frequent. Otherwise it’s the same old rambling.

I’m still tweaking the comments (threading them, maybe?) and searching, and attempting to resurrect the old film ratings, one of my favorite plug-ins from the old design (whose nickname was Pearl, in case you were wondering).
