this situation sounds icky. I can’t say anything smarter than that about it really, it just brings to mind a chapter from The Fountainhead involving “the psychology of a pretzel”.
Incidentally, thanks for Running with Scissors. I just watched the trailer for the movie, and all I could think through the whole thing was “o h m y g o d.”
