You know what else really grinds my gears?
You know those stupid window stickers, the ones with a poorly-drawn Calvin praying in front of a cross? Like this one?
There are (at least) two great ironies involving these decals:
- Obedience is anathema to Calvin. I mean, this kid has trouble being good when he thinks Santa Claus is watching. Unless God starts handing out presents once a year, Calvin isn’t likely to become religious.
- Bill Watterson never licensed Calvin & Hobbes imagery, not even for vehicle stickers. I don’t know if “Thou shalt not infringe upon copyrights” is one of the commandments, but maybe it should be.
In other news, I filed my taxes today. Honestly, I don’t see what all the fuss is over. Although, I do hope the government has done well with the $625 interest-free loan I gave them last year.
