TWONcoming!
Unfortunately, we didn’t “ruin the Bruins” like we had hoped. In fact, they totally owned us. Every time we looked up, the score was worse. Thankfully, we weren’t really there for the game, we were there for the dozens of alumni that were there. After a long drive home full of reminescing about high school days, we all headed to Colon L. Hall stadium to watch GB get destroyed at football. We also feasted at the alumni tent, until they got suspicious about our eating habits (we all chipped in for one plate and kept coming back several times for more food, thus decimating their cheese and cracker tray.) After the game, we convened a fun and unusual crowd at Ruby Tuesday’s. I’m pretty sure I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time. I don’t even remember what we were all laughing at, but I was totally in tears several times that night.
Then there was Saturday. Went to China with some people, then DQ. Finally, Collin, Tim and I decided we needed to see Max Magician. But we faced a problem: Matt had the film, and he wasn’t home. We decided against forceable entry and instead called up a friend at ODU and visited her apartment. Now, I say “friend” because in fact, Collin (and I think Twon) did know her, but I didn’t. So we get to the apartment, which is this ghetto ordeal owned by the university, and we’re thinking we probably won’t stay that long. Twon steals some food, and we check out the apartment, when I notice something amazing…this girl has a SUPER NINTENDO. And not only does she have a SNES, she has MARIO ALL STARS. Score. So me and Collin instantly decide that we must beat SUPER MARIO BROTHERS 3. So between visiting Ali (who I hadn’t seen since I graduated HS) and pizza, Collin, Tim and I beat SMB§ by about 3 in the morning. This was honestly the funnest thing ever. I had no idea how much of that game I remembered from being a kid, and how fun the game can still be. But not just playing the game, hanging out with all the cool kids this weekend was awesome too. But now I have to stop traveling and settle down to school again. No more driving for me until thanksgiving, hopefully.
So here’s the proof…
